Located in Central Africa, and with a population of close to ninety million people, the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) is the most populous French-speaking country and the fourth most populous country, in Africa.

The country is rich in natural resources such as copper, cobalt, gold, diamonds and coal, but sadly, because of  decades of war and looting, it is one of the poorest countries in the world. The DRC is looking to the future with an emphasis on rebuilding infrastructure, health and education.
